faxanswer - tell a _H_y_l_a_F_A_X server to answer the telephone

DDEESSCCRRIIPPTTIIOONN
_f_a_x_a_n_s_w_e_r sends a message to the _H_y_l_a_F_A_X _f_a_x_g_e_t_t_y(${MAN
NUM1_8}) process servicing _m_o_d_e_m telling it to answer the
telephone. This is useful, for example, when a modem is
used on a shared phone line and the server is configured
to not normally answer the phone.
The specified _m_o_d_e_m can either be the name (typically the
last component of the terminal port the modem is attached
to), or the full name of the associated FIFO named pipe
file, e.g. ``FIFO.ttym2''.
OOPPTTIIOONNSS
--qq _d_i_r Use a spooling area other than _$_{_S_P_O_O_L_}.
--hh Specify exactly _h_o_w the phone should be
answered. By default, the server process is
instructed to answer the phone and accept any
kind of call (voice, data, fax). Discrimination
of the type of call is dependent on a modem's
_a_d_a_p_t_i_v_e_-_a_n_s_w_e_r support. The --hh option can be
used to force the server to answer the phone for
particular type of call: one of _f_a_x, _d_a_t_a,
_v_o_i_c_e, _a_n_y, or _e_x_t_e_r_n (to force _f_a_x_g_e_t_t_y to
invoke an external application to to handle the
call).
